One of THOSE Days!!

Before I talk about how my day has been, let me just say that with 4 kids you are bound to have some crazy days!! I am just going to go back to when Gracie was little. Leah was just a baby and she was sitting in her little saucer chair, I was doing laundry and Gracie was playing.......I thought. When I walked into the living room and there was Leah covered in dirt and eating it, as happy as can be.....where did the dirt come from, you might ask, well it came from Gracie. She dumped all of our potted plants right over her head! I thought that nothing could top that day, until Leah was 2. In one day she spread a 50 pound bag of beans, poured a 5 gallon bucket of flour out, you think that all of that could be good enough right? Well some where in the middle of cleaning that up, she got a hold of the 2 pound bucket of honey and played with it in her play kitchen and the finale was when she gave our dog Allie a bath............in honey!! I walked out side and Allie ran up to me coated in sticky honey. Needless to say both Allie and Leah survived that day and surprisingly I did too!! Now I can't think of any thing major like that, that Daniel did, except for he has been the one to color on everything! Now for my day today: It started out with Isabelle breaking my Willow Tree figurine that I LOVE, then she went out side and let Maggie out of the yard, when I asked where Maggie was she said, "she went for a walk." So after I called Vern in a panic, because I couldn't get her to come to me and I was so worried that she would get hit by a car( I don't want to go through that again!!!) the neighbor lady came over and helped me get her....of course she would go right to her and not me! Vern got home and locked everything up, so hopefully that won't happen again! Then later she decorated the living room with lotion....yay for me!! Still at the end of the day, my job as a mother is the only job I have ever wanted and I LOVE my kids so much and I would never want to do any thing else!!!..........it's a good dang thing they are so cute!!!!!
She has marker on her face......
Look at that Innocent little face:)

AMEN!!!! That is EXACTLY how I feel!! You put it in such good words. My life is like that more often than not, but really we can look back at it all and smile.

Yeah, I know how those days are! Hmm you read my post a few days ago. I always take pictures so that I can look back on them and laugh. Laughing at the time is DEFINITELY not what I am usually doing. Little stinkers. I can't wait until they have children of their own and we can then sit back and laugh and then lovingly say, I completely understand. I am totally picturing you as I read those and smiling, because I know you reacted so much better than I would have. You are a good mom Katie!
